The Terrex Ultimate Boost CH is waterproof and winterized with PrimaLoft insulation and is said to provide superior grip when conditions get slippery.

The Boost Urban Hiker CW is a stylish hybrid that's interchangeable from the street to the mountains, also insulated with PrimaLoft and ultra lightweight.

Boost technology revolves around thermoplastic beads fused together inside the sole that create energy, adding bounce to your step.

According to Adidas Outdoor, the Boost technology boasts of temperature resistance between -4 degrees and 104 degrees Fahrenheit (-20 degrees C to 40 degrees C).

Expansion of Adidas Outdoor trail running footwear made with Boost technology is also in the works, for the Terrex Boost -- introduced over the summer -- was a success, according to adidas Outdoor managing director Greg Thompson.

Coming in the fall of 2015, the Terrex Boost GTX for men and women will feature the same qualities of its predecessor, plus a Gore-Tex membrane for added warmth and dryness on the trail.
