Decorté hits UK in Selfridges exclusive, global 'face' Kate Moss to front the launch

Kate Moss sometimes seems to be the go-to model for retailers and brands trading on Oxford Street. Having created a massive paparazzi scramble for the Topshop Unique show during London Fashion Week, and another for the opening of Reserved just along from Topshop, she’s now heading towards the Marble Arch end of the street in her role as the face Decorté.

The model will help add to the buzz around Decorté’s UK debut in Selfridges during November having been the global face and brand ambassador for the Kosé Corporation-owned prestige skincare and make-up brand for the past two years.

Decorté is already available in Asia and North America and is now targeting Europe, having launched in Italy too.

Kazutoshi Kobayashi, President and CEO of Kosé Corporation, described Selfridges as “an iconic cultural landmark known for providing women with the freedom to indulge themselves.” And while that might seem like a touch of hyperbole, it’s undeniable that the retailer has proved itself to be a strong publicity-generating launchpad for beauty products in recent years, a role once reserved for Harrods across town in Kinghtsbridge.

The Decorté brand mixes “nature, wisdom and advanced science to reinvigorate skin and enhance natural beauty” and Selfridges’ Director of Beauty David Legrand said the retailer rates the brand "for its future-gazing approach to skincare and colour innovation.”

Decorté said that Moss herself has been a strong advocate of launching the brand in the UK for some time. She will participate in a number of launch events scheduled for next month at Selfridges.
