Delpozo continues to expand into new markets. The designer brand, beloved by A-list celebrities and influencers, opened its first flagship store in the UK in London in May, and is now celebrating the opening of its first boutique in the Middle East in Dubai Mall’s Fashion Avenue.

The move is part of the brand’s expansion plans, which will also see its creative director Josep Font diversify into fragrances.

With 135 sq mts of space, the new flagship store will showcase Delpozo’s prêt-à-couture, bridal, accessories and footwear collections in a modern, colourful setting. Josep Font was an active collaborator in the creation of the store, to ensure its design matches those of its Madrid and London counterparts.

The brand teamed up with Symphony Style, the company controlled by entrepreneur Salama Alabbar, for the opening. Symphony Style also manages Temperley London and Issey Miyake’s stores at Dubai Mall, and is owned by Alabbar Entepresis, which owns a 4% stake in luxury e-commerce giant Yoox Net-a-Porter.

Delpozo is not only expanding into new geographies, it is also growing its categories. Last month, the company announced a licence deal with Italy’s Massimo Bonini for the development of footwear and accessories. And other strategic changes have included moving the Autumn Winter 2018 presentation from New York to the Royal Institute of British Architects in London. The collection included colourful designs and structural silhouettes.
