On the first full day of the Milan menswear Fashion Week, Diesel Black Gold showcased its co-ed revolution, with boys and girls sashaying on the catwalk together, under the watchful eye of OTB boss Renzo Rosso.

After nearly 10 years of giving priority to his holding company, Rosso said backstage he is now engaged almost full time in Diesel, as is evident from the major repositioning drive of the main label, and the new approach to the Black Gold collections’ presentation.

The co-ed show actually introduced two gender-specific collections, with a clear techno-grunge vibe and a penchant for over-layering as common threads. The Black Gold girls flaunted long slip dresses in checks or flower patterns, sometimes combined, worn with pin-stripe tops and tech leggings, while their boy counterparts sported leather Bermuda shorts and tight trousers, loose shirts, tailored blazers and hooded jackets.
