The Canadian sportswear brand is making its debut in Mexico with its first showroom in Latin America. The Mexico City store will also host meetups for the fitness community, sources told FashionNetwork.com.

According to sources close to the matter, Lululemon will open the doors to its new space in the upscale area of Polanco, with Grupo Exalta, a Mexican company that also works with international brands such as Crabtree & Evelyn.

The showroom will also act as a meeting point for consumers and the wider community, hosting fitness, wellness and mindfulness activities.

Lululemon, founded in 1998 and headquartered in Vancouver, Canada, is currently helmed by Laurent Potdevin. The Lululemon Athletica company also manages Ivivva, a children’s sportswear company for girls between 6 and 14 years of age.

On 29 January 2017, the firm operated 406 Lululemon and Ivivva monobrand stores in the United States, Canada, Australia, the United Kingdom, New Zealand, China, Hong Kong, Singapore, South Korea, Germany, Puerto Rico and Switzerland.
