British accessories brand Olivia Burton is to join the mix of high-end and affordable brands in London’s Covent Garden with its first physical store.

Bees and butterflies are a usual feature on OB's watches - Olivia Burton

Originally starting as a digital brand, Olivia Burton has gained a loyal global following for its feminine, detail-rich watches, which usually feature bees, flowers and butterfly designs.

The brand was founded by best friends Lesa Bennett and Jemma Fennings in 2012, and named after Bennett’s great aunt. Its collections are inspired by nature, vintage finds and catwalk trends.

Opening in May, its first ever physical store will be located in Covent Garden’s Market Building. Jemma Fennings said: "Covent Garden is such an iconic spot. With its beautiful architecture and history as a long-standing flower market, there couldn't be a more perfect place to open our very first store.”

The brand is also stocked in major department stores including John Lewis, Harvey Nichols and Fenwick, as well as in international retailers like Anthropologie.

Michelle McGrath, Director of Capco Covent Garden, added: “We’re delighted that Olivia Burton has chosen Covent Garden for their first store. Their beautiful products fit perfectly in the Market Building alongside the likes of Daniel Wellington, Deciem and Tom Ford. This addition further strengthens the district’s premium beauty, accessory and fashion offer.”
