Red lips and dramatic blusher were on the menu for the second day of the Spring/Summer haute couture fashion shows in Paris on Tuesday.

Chanel
The red lip made a comeback for Chanel's ultra-feminine Spring/Summer collection, with the models' signature beauty look centering around a precisely-applied scarlet hue that immediately conjured up notions of old-school glamour -- an approach underscored by the formal floral headwear that featured heavily throughout. Eyeshadow was applied in flattering shades of pinks and violets to complement the look.

Alexis Mabille put a contemporary twist on the ‘draping' blusher technique that a surfaced on the catwalks a few seasons ago, using a vivid pink tone that began at the temples and stopped mid-cheekbone. Makeup-free eyes made the blusher the focus of the look, while a fierce red lip kept things polished.

Spiky false lashes -- top and bottom -- made for a feminine yet edgy makeup look at the Giorgio Armani Privé show. Pale aquamarine and blue eyeshadow shades added depth to the look, while bushy brows and nude lips added a low-key element.

The blusher crept even further up the models' faces at Alexandre Vauthier, where a kaleidoscopic combination of shimmering colors blended together for the ultimate artistic, smoky-eyed look.
