Leading lingerie specialist Victoria’s Secret is making its debut in Milton Keynes with the launch of an 8,258 sq ft store at Intu Milton Keynes.

Adjacent to international retailers such as Hugo Boss and joining aspirational brands like Karen Millen and Michael Kors at the shopping centre, Victoria’s Secret will boost the mall’s appeal as the lingerie market in the UK starts to heat up.

This week it emerged that Dutch intimates giant Hunkemöller is aggressively targeting the UK and only last month department stores giant Debenhams cited lingerie as one of its key categories following its massive strategy review.

The new store will also offer the brand’s Pink lifestyle brand, which celebrates college women and campus life.

There are no other specialist lingerie retailers at the mall, although stores like Debenhams, H&M and Topshop do offer the category.

Nick Round, Intu regional director, said: “The increasing number of aspirational brands like Victoria’s Secret joining intu Milton Keynes is giving our customers even more great reasons to visit the centre thus helping all our retailers flourish.”

Anchored by Debenhams and housing fashion-forward brands such as Hollister and Superdry, Intu Milton Keynes is set to upgrade its facilities with an additional 100,000 sq ft dining quarter, five-screen cinema and new retail space.

The shopping centre is the main premium fashion destination in the city.
