French jewellery house Cartier has reopened the doors of its New Bond Street store in Mayfair following a refurbishment and expansion.

Located at 175-177 New Bond Street, the Grade II-listed site has been a crucial part of Cartier since 1909.

The three-storey boutique reopened last week with new interiors, bespoke furniture and lighting reimagined by Paris-based architect Bruno Moinard.

Spanning 7,275 square feet, the space includes a VIP space called La Residence, a private apartment complete with a Cartier-branded cocktail bar, state-of-the-art kitchen, living room and dining room for big spenders.

The store’s ground floor is now dedicated to women’s watches, handbags and accessories, as well as men’s watches and leather goods, and the jeweller’s engagement rings and bridal collections.

A new entrance has been added on Albemarle Street, and a special exhibition showcasing archival pieces is hosted on the first floor to celebrate the reopening. Rare creations, precious objects, watches and eccentric accessories are presented to pay homage to the house’s London influence since its origins.
