Working together, Zegna’s artistic director Alessandro Sartori and Fear of God’s founder Jerry Lorenzo have created a niche collection that will be launched with an event during the Paris women’s ready-to-wear catwalk season, on March 2.

Zegna termed the collab’ “a four-handed man collection, including accessories, that is a cross-pollination between Zegna's renowned tailoring expertise and Fear of God’s unique take on modern luxury.”

Founded by Jerry Lorenzo, the son of former professional major league baseball player Jerry Manuel,  Fear of God was launched in 2013 from his home in Glendale, California.

Lorenzo has previously won attention for dressing major league stars, though in music and fashion. Notably, he designed five stage looks for Justin Bieber for his Purpose World Tour; while also developing tour merchandise. Other fans of Fear of God reportedly include Kanye West and Kendall Jenner.

Lorenzo chose the name of his brand from his family’s tradition of reading daily devotionals together. The brand is a Southern Californian meeting of hip hop, grunge and religion, and retails BMX jerseys, bomber jackets and military sneakers – often featuring the FG logo. In short, a considerable  distance from the edgy yet classical tailoring that has been Sartori’s signature style at Zegna and in his previous position at Berluti in Paris.
