Upscale men’s accessories brand Ettinger London is continuing its carefully-thought-out expansion with the company having grown its presence in luxury department store Harrods.

The growth there comes on the heels of a busy 2019 that has seen it opening its Accessories Room in Gieves & Hawkes' Savile Row flagship in London and launching in Turnbull & Asser’s Manhattan townhouse in New York.

The brand has unveiled a new retail display unit in Harrods' Travelgoods and Luggage department, which has been specifically designed and created for the store around its existing furniture.

The new unit houses an expanded selection of leather accessories including its best-selling coat wallets, billfolds and card cases, as well as travel and lifestyle accessories including zipped portfolio cases, the new watch roll, jewel rolls and boxes, travel shoe horns, travel trinket trays, passport cases and luggage tags.

It’s an important move for the company in such a high-visitor-traffic store and particularly for a department store with such a heavy focus on affluent travelling customers from all over the world. They’ll now be able to see a much wider and more representative selection of the label’s travel accessories from its three best-selling collections, Bridle Hide, Sterling and the newest goatskin Capra Collection.

CEO Robert Ettinger said that while the company has been in Harrods for a number of years, its products weren’t previously getting to the leathergods shopper. Its hip flasks, for example, are sold in the Wines & Spirits Department.

With the wider offer now, “we are really confident that our accessories will sell well and offer a much better choice to appeal to Harrods' customers from around the world,” he added.
