The Duncan Cosmetics' portfolio of brands includes Lique, Tattoo Junkie, Remi Rose and BE Beauty Essentials.

The acquisition will strengthen HatchBeauty's position as an authority on trend democratization within the beauty and wellness landscape, the company said in a press release.

"This acquisition strengthens our commitment to ensuring consumers everywhere have access to affordable and efficacious beauty and wellness products," said Preston Bottomy, HatchBeauty brand president.

"In the months ahead, we look forward to sharing expertise between our teams and leveraging a broader brand portfolio across our network of retail partners."

Duncan's portfolio is targeted at Gen X, Millennial and Gen Z consumers and focuses on offering high quality, trendy cosmetics products at an affordable price point. Founded in 1944, the company's brands are currently sold at Target, Kohls, Urban Outfitters and Dollar Tree.

"This acquisition will maximize new product innovation and sales distribution for both companies and create a powerhouse of beauty and wellness brand products for our consumers and retailer partners," said Larry Hermansen, Duncan president and chief executive officer.

The brands within the Duncan Cosmetics portfolio will join HatchBeauty brands including Naturewell, Found, and Babyphat Beauty, among others.
