Fashion e-tailer I Saw It First has launched an all-new conscious collection of loungewear made from sustainable cotton. The summer-focused jersey-style loungewear consists of a range of colours “perfect for travelling in comfort, chilled catch-ups with friends and family or simply for a stroll in the park”.

The ‘sustainable staples’ range features a variety of styles, from T-shirts, leggings, shorts and crops, priced £15-£35.

It’s made using BCI (Better Cotton Initiative) approved cotton, the organisation that aims to reduce the environmental impact of cotton farming by providing training to farmers on how to significantly reduce the amount of water and pesticides used in cotton growth to minimise damage to the environment.

The organisation also ensures fair wages and workers’ rights are enforced.

Jackie Lewis, Compliance Director at I Saw It First, said: “We recognise being more sustainable requires mindful choices from farm to factory, to customer, and back again. [So] we are working towards a future where we deliver speed to market but not landfill.

“Our sustainable staples range… has been designed to last, are produced from recycled and low impact materials, and have been made in factories which are kind to the environment and people.

Lewis added: “This is just the beginning for I Saw It First's sustainable journey which is a priority for us in the coming years.”
