Isabel Marant: an international growth spurt

There are signs that do not lie, Isabel Marant has undergone some major changes without a doubt. Starting in 2010 opening a flagship store in New York in 2010, the label's fashion shows have been among the most anticipated, its reputation soared, thanks to a ready-to-wear laid back luxury with bohemian Parisian accents. Having grown from a Parisian brand to an international brand, it will drive this point home this year, adding six new stores to its existing seven worldwide, all within the space of several months.

The plan is first to head to Asia in May, with the simultaneous opening of two new units in Seoul and Hong Kong. Weeks later, back in Europe, specifically in London, Isabel Marant will settle on Bruton Street, next to Celine and Stella McCartney in July.

In August, the inauguration of its plans for Tokyo will take place, a month before the September opening of its second location in Los Angeles, and the fourth in Paris. Already present on Rue de Charonne, rue de Saintonge and rue Jacob, Isabel Marant will settle on the Avenue Victor Hugo.

Now with nearly 650 outlets distributing its main line, as well as the minor line "Etoile" and accessories, the infrastructure of the brand needed a place to call its own. The move of its headquarters, announced a while back, will take place this month. The hundred employees will take possession of number 50 on rue Croix des Petits Champs in the first arrondissement, near Place des Victoires in Paris. A huge showroom of 1500 square meters will host its first collection, with the "cowgirl" Fall-Winter 2012/2013 just having shown.

Reportedly, the total turnover approaches 70 million euros in 2011, up from 30 to 40% compared to 2010.
