The Jimmy Choo Fashion Academy (JCA) is increasingly making an impact and is likely continue doing so with the announcement of a “unique partnership” with Oxford University’s Saïd Business School.

The partnership consists of a uniform and student clothing contest and joint events. To start, the students at JCA are working on designing a new colleagues uniform and student clothing for Saïd Business School, via a competition “to come up with a bold design, that will give Oxford Saïd a sleek, new look across its campus”.

Undergraduates are working in pairs to create their submissions as part of a project for the term, and postgraduate students have the option to work in pairs or individually.

The winning team or individual will be announced on April 27, with the new uniform rolled out later this year for staff. The unveiling will take place at a fashion show at Oxford Saïd later this year.

For the winning students, the prize will be a place on one of Oxford Saïd’s Venture Series – a six-week online course with tutor support and live lessons – with a choice between Venture Creation, Venture Finance or Digital Marketing.

The link-up will also include a series of joint experiences and events, taking in an audience with Professor Jimmy Choo and a talk hosted by Maria Zubeldia, Director of Entrepreneurship Centre at Oxford Saïd.

Zubeldia said that “Jimmy Choo is an incredible role model for our students, given his extraordinary success as an entrepreneur. Between our two world leading institutions we have an exceptional depth of expertise and knowledge”.
