Italian luxury fashion house Moschino has teamed up with Electronic Arts’ iconic life simulation video game franchise The Sims on a ready-to-wear and accessories capsule collection set to launch at Moschino Creative Director Jeremy Scott’s annual Palm Springs Desert Party in Indio, California.

The collection’s ready-to-wear selection for both men and women includes t-shirts, tops, dresses, pants and skirts, as well as a range of swimwear items. Pieces feature pixelated designs and classic The Sims motifs, including the Freezer Bunny and the franchise’s emblematic green “plumbob” – the diamond-shaped icon suspended above each sim’s head which indicates their mood with its changing colors.

In terms of accessories, the collection offers smartphone cases, bags, an umbrella and jewelry, including a pair of plumbob earrings.

The collection’s launch will be accompanied by the release of a virtual version of the capsule’s Freezer Bunny hoodie in all of the current The Sims titles, including The Sims 4, The Sims Mobile and The Sims FreePlay. Further in-game events related to the collection will be announced later this year.

“I love the idea of being able to imagine, design and bring to life a world of individual personas with The Sims universe,” said Scott in a release. “That concept emulates what I get to do for each collection at Moschino as I create a fantasy universe of spectacular storylines and characters.”

First launched in February 2000, The Sims franchise will soon be celebrating its 20th anniversary, marking two decades in which the franchise has spread from PC to most major console platforms, as well as iOS and Android.

The Moschino x The Sims collection will be available at Moschino boutiques worldwide, as well as on the brand’s e-commerce platform, from April 13.
