In 2022, French niche perfumery brand Parfums de Marly recorded a revenue of €262 million. An independent company within a market where most fragrance brands are controlled by major international groups, Parfums de Marly’s revenue grew by 51% in 2022.

Parfums de Marly is distributed via 1,200 multibrand retailers worldwide, and operates monobrand stores in Paris, London and Dubai. Its retail sales soared in 2022, growing 60% in Asia and 50% in the Americas. The US market accounts for 50% of Parfums de Marly’s total revenue.

The brand’s American success is expected to be further bolstered in April by the opening of a store in Beverly Hills, on the USA’s West Coast. Before the end of 2023, Parfums de Marly is also set to open stores in Sydney and Shanghai. In France, the brand will relocate its 26 rue Cambon store in Paris, moving to 326 rue Saint-Honoré, next to the Dior store.

In 2022, Parfums de Marly’s feminine fragrance Delina and its line extensions, based on Turkish rose extracts, accounted for nearly 40% of total sales. Two months ago, the brand launched a new fragrance, Valaya (€245 for a 75 ml bottle). This new feminine scent now reportedly ranks third in terms of net sales over the last 12 months among the brand’s perfumes: “The success of this new fragrance is especially notable in the UK, where Valaya is already [our] number one perfume, accounting for 21% of our portfolio,” said the company.

Parfums de Marly was founded by Julien Sprecher in 2009 and belongs to the Sprecher Berrier group, an independent company whose portfolio also includes high-end fragrance brand Initio Parfums Privés, and which distributes other niche fragrance brands.
