In total there were 16 international companies recognized at the 8th edition of the World Retail Awards. French luxury conglomerate LVMH was given the title of International Retailer of the Year while Yves Carcelle, former chairman and CEO of Louis Vuitton, was awarded with the prize for Outstanding Leadership.

France’s flash-sale Vente-Privée was named Pure Play Retailer of the Year whilst fellow online retailer ASOS won the Retail Technolgy Initiative for its ‘Fit Visualiser’, developed by Virtusize.

Amongst other retailers awarded at the ceremony was British department store Debenhams, Korean department store Shinsegae, Australian online retailer Shoes of Prey, Tesco’s clothing line F&F and American fashion site HSN.
