Brothers Marshall has been interpreting the vintage California surf aesthetic for a decade and designing modern apparel with an authentic vibe to it. The label is known for a bright, rainbow colored aesthetic that speaks to the modern LA consumer through a vintage story.

The collaboration was born out of Vans head designer Matt Nosbusch and his friendship with Chad and Trace Marshall of Brothers Marshall.

Trace explained the designer "has made it his goal to involve Vans Surf in collaborations with historical, surf-culture references, rather than just relying on a big name."

The collection pays tribute to the old school surf aesthetic with bright remakes of iconic Vans styles. Specifically, the classic all-white Vans slip on and the Authentic SF lace up have been reimagined with a bright rainbow gum sole that gives a nod to the bold colors of retro surf apparel that Brothers Marshall is known for. Apparel in the collection includes a french terry pullover and board shorts, both with cobranded neoprene trim in rainbow colors.

Tees in the collection start at $29.95. Footwear starts at $59.95. The Vans x Brothers Marshall collection is being sold both online at Australian e-tailer Surfstitch.com and Swell.com, at surf-focused retail chains Mollusk and Jack's, as well as more mainstream lifestyle retail channels including PacSun and CCS.
